Den meetings are structured to provide activities and information that help the Cub Scout progress in Scouting, and to help them become better people in all respects. Cub Scouts constantly strive to "do their best" at everything they do. Part of this is having some simple guidelines that help the Cub Scout leaders maintain order and provide a safe environment for all Cubs.
RULE NUMBER 1:
Our biggest rule in Pack 150 is that a Cub Scout must ALWAYS have FUN!!
This applies to parents and other family members that attend any of our Cub Scout meetings, functions, or outings.
These are the basic Pack 150 Guidelines. Check back often, as they may change.
Be on time for the meeting. Late arrivals distract from the planned activities.
If you run a little late, that is OK, enter quietly and try not to disrupt what is already happening.
A leader, or another parent will get you caught up with the rest of the den.
Bring your Cub Scout book to every meeting.
Remember to take your Cub Scout book home with you after meetings.
Unless told otherwise, wear your Cub Scout uniform to every meeting.
Bring supplies when asked.
Be quiet when you see the Cub Scout sign.
When you see the Cub Scout sign, stop what you are doing and put your Cub Scout sign up too.
Leave your Cub Scout sign up until the leader puts down their Cub Scout sign.
Unless a Cub is asked by a leader, the Cub should not tell another Cub to be quiet when he sees the Cub Scout sign.
Parents and other leaders may quietly assist the leader, if necessary, in restoring order when he or she sees the Cub Scout sign.
Parents are also asked to recognize and respect the Cub Scout sign.
Follow instructions given to you by a leader.
If you do not understand the instructions, ASK. The only "dumb-question" is the one not asked.
Do not interrupt when someone else is talking
Never lose sight of your assigned or chosen "buddy" when on outings with the Den.
If you lose your "buddy" notify the Den Leader immediately.
Respect the property of others.
Respect the feelings your fellow Cub Scouts.
Respect the privacy of your fellow Cub Scouts.
At the end of the Den meeting, pick up any trash around your area. Help others if they have more to do.
After the meeting, only ride home with your parents, or someone your parents told you about before the meeting.
Complete the assigned activities assigned by a leader before the next meeting.
Review what happened during the meeting with your parents after EVERY meeting.
Tell your parents about any planned activities the leaders tell you about during our meetings.
Cubs and Parents should check our website at least once per week, and definitely the night before a meeting.
Cub Scouts must ALWAYS have FUN!!
